Instagram Image Problem

Some users have reported that Instagram images have recently stopped appearing inline within Tweetlogix. The reason for this problem is that Instagram image links have apparently changed in format from instagr.am/p/ to instagram.com/p/. It’s not clear whether this is a permanent change in Instagram’s image link format. To resolve the issue, the upcoming Tweetlogix 2.1 update will introduce support for both Instagram image link formats. Problem using Camera on iPad

Some iPad users have reported a problem taking photos with their iPad camera in the Tweetlogix Compose view. After taking a photo, the app will incorrectly remain in camera preview mode. This problem only affects Tweetlogix on iPad.

For a temporary workaround, here’s how you can return to the Compose view after taking a photo:

  1. Tap your iPad’s Home button.
  2. Tap the Tweetlogix app icon to return back to Tweetlogix.
  3. Tap Retake, then tap Cancel.
  4. You should then be returned to the Compose view with your new photo attached to the tweet.

Sorry about this issue, it will be fixed in the next update.

Tweetlogix 2.0.1 Available in App Store

Tweetlogix 2.0.1 is now available in the App Store. Here’s what’s changed in 2.0.1:

  • Re-introduced user display name setting
  • Fixed missing undo retweet actions
  • Fixed DM authorization for imported iOS accounts
  • Fixed incorrect badge when switching timelines
  • Fixed problem computing remaining chars in Compose view
  • Improved VoiceOver for Accounts view
  • Rate limit errors from Twitter are silently ignored

I’m also working on Wi-Fi streaming timeline refresh for a future 2.1 update. The streaming feature will help reduce issues with Twitter’s new 1.1 API limits.

Please understand that Twitter’s rate limit changes are from Twitter, not us. I understand your frustration with Twitter’s new rate limits, but unfortunately Twitter’s changes are out of our control. If you’re interested in the technical details, see this this article on Twitter’s developer site. Twitter is beginning the process this week of retiring their prior 1.0 API, so all developers are now required to switch to their new 1.1 API. You can read more about Twitter’s 1.0 API retirement plans here.
