Twitter SSL Errors
Sep 13, 2011 09:20 PM
A number of users have been reporting SSL networking errors from Twitter. The problem appears to be affecting devices using 3G secure SSL (HTTPS) Twitter connections. Twitter announced today that they are investigating this issue. If you're interested in the more technical of the problem, see this discussion in Twitter's development forum.
If you wish to disable the use of SSL connections by Tweetlogix, see Settings > Advanced > Security. Turning off this setting will disable SSL for less sensitive operations. Sending tweets always uses SSL, so you may still experience the problem in that case.
Regardless of this setting, Twitter authentication, DM-related requests, posting tweets, and updating profiles will always be handled securely. For best security and privacy we recommend that you keep the Twitter SSL setting enabled.
