Tweetlogix 2.15 Available in App Store

Tweetlogix 2.15 is available now in the App Store. This update includes support for Twitter's new Direct Message API.

  • Support for Twitter's new Direct Message API
  • Auto Refresh now supports refreshing as often as every two minutes (see Settings > Refresh > Auto Refresh)
  • Fixed problem recovering from network connection failures

Note that Twitter has announced plans to shutdown their legacy Direct Message API endpoints on August 16, 2018. Please be sure to install this update by August 16th, otherwise direct messages will not refresh.

The transition to Twitter's new Direct Message API should be mostly transparent, except that Twitter's new API is slower to deliver new direct messages and is limited to messages sent or received within the past 30 days. For more detail, see our blog post Twitter API Changes for August 16th.

Twitter has also announced plans to shutdown their streaming APIs on August 16, 2018. Our blog post Twitter API Changes for August 16th also explains how this change will affect Tweetlogix.

Tweetlogix 2.14.1 Available in App Store

Tweetlogix 2.14.1 is available now in the App Store. This is a small update to fix a problem causing "Could not authenticate" and other related errors with iOS 10.

If you are using iOS 10, the app will automatically clear its cache after installing this update. This is a one-time step needed to correct invalid data stored in the app's cache files.

Thanks very much to everyone who reported this issue.

Twitter "Could not authenticate you" Error

Update (5/29/2018): Over the past several days, some users have reported Could not authenticate and other errors in Tweetlogix. The problem has turned out to be an issue with the app related to the way it saves and restores tweets. This issue affects users of iOS 10 and earlier and is unrelated to the recent Tweetlogix 2.14 update. We're planning to submit an update soon to resolve the issue for iOS 10 users.

For now, a possible workaround is to upgrade your device to iOS 11, however you will need to clear your Tweetlogix Cache (in Tweetlogix Settings) after upgrading.

Sorry about this problem. Thanks to everyone who reported the issue and provided details that helped diagnose it.
