Tweetlogix Unable to Access Twitter
As you may have heard, many Third-party Twitter apps have stopped working and have been unable to access Twitter since yesterday, January 12th, at approximately 7:30 PM PT. Tweetlogix is one of the affected apps and is currently not able to log in or authenticate with Twitter.
We’ve reached out to Twitter regarding the problem, but so far Twitter has not responded or provided any other communication about it. Hopefully this is a temporary issue that Twitter will resolve soon, but there’s no way of knowing at this point.
We’ll update this post as soon as we have more information. Thanks to everyone who reported the problem to us when it began yesterday.
Update: January 17, 2023
As of today, we have not yet heard back from Twitter with any detail explaining why API access for Tweetlogix has been blocked. The only information we’ve seen from Twitter is the following tweet posted today by @TwitterDev.
Hopefully the problem related to API Rules that Twitter is referring to is something that we can remedy after they provide more detail.
For now, we’ve decided to (hopefully temporarily) remove Tweetlogix from sale on the App Store.
Update: January 22, 2023
If you haven’t already heard, Twitter quietly updated its Developer Agreement on January 19th with an additional clause that effectively bans all Third-party Twitter apps.
As of today, we have not received a response from Twitter with any other detail explaining why API access for Tweetlogix was blocked on January 12th.
